Network
Keep client/server work intact when the network blinks
A short network disruption becomes a recoverable pause, not a lost workflow.
In real deployments, switches, routers, firewalls, VPN gateways, cable reconnections, and mobile handovers can briefly interrupt communication between 4D Client and 4D Server. Built on the QUIC transport layer, 4D can keep an unreachable client session alive through the configured QUIC session timeout, giving communication time to return.
Users can recover their session when the connection resumes in time. Server-dependent windows show a clear unreachable state, local windows can remain usable, and affected windows return to their previous state. Administrators keep visibility through the Administration window and Session.info.unreachableSince, while client/server deployments gain stronger resilience with no extra application code required.

AI Integration
Bring local AI writing into 4D forms
AI-assisted writing becomes available without an AI contract, extra installation, payment flow, or external service to configure.
When the user’s environment supports Apple Writing Tools and Apple Intelligence, writing assistance is handled by the OS and becomes available directly inside 4D form text areas, including multiline text inputs and 4D Write Pro areas.
Users can proofread, rewrite, summarize, adjust tone, or extract key points from business text without leaving the application. The experience stays native through the Writing Tools property in the Property List or the WritingTools standard action.

4D Language
Run cleanup code at the right moment
More predictable execution starts with completion logic that follows every exit path.
The new defer command lets cleanup, diagnostics, state restoration, error handling, and external service disconnection run when a method or function exits, whether execution completes normally, reaches a return, or stops after an error.
Deferred expressions run in LIFO order, keeping application logic cleaner, easier to maintain, and more reliable as projects grow.

HTTP Server
Protect REST server resources
Reliable REST services need controlled resource usage as more systems connect.
REST server quota management brings session-level control over entity sets stored in memory. Through Session.quotas and 4D.QuotaManager, applications can define clearer limits for REST sessions exposed to web apps, external systems, 4D Qodly Pro, mobile clients, or MCP-based AI tools.
Server resources stay easier to manage, REST workflows remain more responsive, and applications gain stronger protection against accidental overload.

Server Management
See every active session more clearly
Faster support starts with a clearer view of server activity.
The 4D Server Admin window brings desktop clients, web sessions, REST access, and SOAP calls into one unified Sessions tab. Administrators can understand who is connected, where activity comes from, how sessions behave, and which context they run under.
Details such as IP address, User Agent, privileges, machine name, OS session name, and usage rights make monitoring more actionable, from unusual activity to REST usage and license consumption.

4D Write Pro
Manage multi-level list style sheets directly in the 4D Write Pro Interface
Structured documents become easier to create, maintain, and deliver.
Multi-level list style sheets are now available directly in the 4D Write Pro Interface, from the toolbar and sidebar. Users can apply templates, adjust levels, refine numbering formats, and keep hierarchy consistent as content evolves.
For technical manuals, contracts, reports, training materials, and meeting minutes, structure becomes part of the editing experience. Templates can also be customized through multiLevelStyles.json, helping documents stay consistent across PDF, HTML, SVG, and DOCX exports.

4D NetKit and Mailing
React to mail and calendar changes
Time-sensitive workflows stay aligned with the tools teams already use.
4D NetKit brings change notifications to Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, so applications can react when emails or calendar events are created, modified, or deleted. Customer follow-ups, scheduling workflows, approval flows, shared inboxes, and activity dashboards can stay current without waiting for someone to refresh.
The same notification approach works across Office365.mail.notifier, Office365.calendar.notifier, Google.mail.notifier, and Google.calendar.notifier, with onCreate, onModify, and onDelete callbacks. Applications can rely on real-time webhooks where available, or timer-based monitoring for simpler deployments.

4D Qodly Pro
Make web form editing more precise
Faster form refinement means business interfaces reach users sooner.
The 4D Qodly Pro Editor improves navigation, event reporting, dialogs, and component interaction. Developers can move more smoothly between the Event Report and the Page Editor, keep filters in place, select related components faster, and work with clearer rename actions.
Improved event coverage for Radio Button and Select Input components, plus debounce and throttle settings for OnChange events, gives complex web forms more precise behavior with fewer editing detours.

Platform Updates
Strengthen UI, security, and runtime foundations
Long-term application confidence starts with a platform layer that stays current.
4D Qodly Pro gains a more standardized design system component foundation for consistent UI construction. Core components move forward with OpenSSL 4.0, BoringSSL, Ngtcp2 1.22.1, and Libuv 1.52.1, supporting QUIC, WebSocket, broadcast, secured connections, HTTPS, and client/server communication.
On Windows, Windows App SDK 2.0.1 supports the WinUI foundation used when building applications with or without WinUI embedded, helping applications stay current, consistent, and easier to maintain over time.
